A painting class for those interested in amplifying their mind’s eye and utilizing personal imagery in their paintings. Using examples from art history, guided exercises, and demonstration, participants will hone techniques that will enhance the imaginative aspects of their work, combining the craftsmanship of classical painting with personal expression. All painting and drawing mediums are welcome.

Non-Toxic Printmaking serves as a supporter of your individual journey through printmaking. Curriculum is crafted by students’ interests with a focus on individual attention to complete your projects. This class includes demonstrations, critiques and instruction in basic printmaking media: collagraphs, monoprints, drypoint intaglio, relief printing. Silkscreen is welcome with prior experience and understanding that darkroom access is not provided. New innovations in safe, non-toxic printmaking practices are covered.

This class focuses on creating still-life images with watercolor, depicting real objects like household items, food, plants, and flowers to add meaning and vitality to watercolors. The class introduces watercolor techniques specifically for still-life art, ending with sketches and painting. Focus areas include composition, observation, and color mixing for realism, using layering, washes, and techniques like wet-on-wet and dry for soft edges, sharp details. We'll depict shadows and highlights for form.
