Nicole Patrice Dul, M.F.A.
Nicole holds an M.F.A. in Printmaking from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Tyler School of Art, Elkins Park, PA. She has been teaching art to adults and children for 11 years.

Explore the rich and varied world of printmaking through a hands-on introduction to its most important traditional and contemporary techniques. Rather than focusing on a single process, students will explore the unique creative possibilities of relief printing (linocut and woodcut), intaglio (drypoint and etching), collagraph, monotype, and screenprinting while discovering how each approach offers a different way of generating images. Students will strengthen their understanding of composition, value, texture, layering, and image development while exploring the unique visual language of each technique. Emphasis is placed on the complete printmaking process, from preparing the matrix and developing imagery to inking, printing, and proper studio practices. Suitable for beginners as well as artists looking to expand their practice.
