Jeanine Leclaire will provide materials and instruction to paint a small portrait of your animal companion. The skills learned in this class will include (but are not limited to): how to paint fur, how to use the brush stroke to your advantage, which compositions make good portraits, and how to use transfer methods to start painting faster. These will not only help your painting look more like your pet, but are also applicable to all your future painting endeavors.

All you'll need to bring is a pencil! Due to the limited time of the workshop, all materials will be provided for a fee of $50, paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop. You will receive four paint brushes, a 5 x 7" painting surface, high-quality professional paints, at least two print outs of the photo of your pet to use as a reference, and tools to transfer your image.

We will be using a transfer method which uses a photograph the same size as your painting surface. When you sign up for this workshop, you will receive an email from the instructor. This email will have information on sending your pet images, as well as helpful hints on how to take the best photo of your pet.

Must register and email your pet photos no later than close of business (5pm) on March 9th, 2018.
