Cheltenham Center for the Arts is newest show Faculty Exhibition: Teacher and Mentor.   The exhibition is comprised of twelve current faculty members in various mediums: ceramics, painting, drawing and printmaking. Faculty tenure ranges from 50 years with artist and faculty member, Merle Spandorfer, to 6 months with artist and faculty member, Vanca Muller.

Each artist/faculty member submitted works that includes new pieces as well as a selection showing their creative process over time.  In addition, each artist/faculty member chose a mentor to feature by including examples of that mentor’s work, pictures or a simple statement.  The mentors chosen were living or deceased, an inspiring family member, a well know artist or a beloved teacher.  All of our faculty members were able to immediately recall an important person that inspired their professional lives as artists.

The following artists are included in the Cheltenham Center for the Arts Faculty Exhibition:

Joan Brown, Laura Demme, Colleen Hammond, Barbara Hanselman, Paul Kane, Stephen Kennedy, Ellen Pine Litwin, Vanca Muller, Rona Richter, Marthe Roberts-Shea, Merle Spandorfer and John Sevcik.

Join us to see their beautiful art and inspirations from November 15- December 13, 2016.
