Since its founding, the Cheltenham Center for the Arts (CCA) has served as a venue for high quality classesexhibitions and theater programs that have promoted regional artists and showcased the work of children, adults and outstanding faculty in our community.

At CCA we believe that the arts can offer to all ages a means to broaden your horizons, learn new skills and explore new ways of seeing the world. It is our goal to provide a creative environment to nurture that process.

ABSTRACT PAINTING FOR THE CURIOUS AND FEARFUL Instructor: Madeline Kelly Saturday, February 6th, 2016, 10am-3pm Tuition: $85 Can you tell a good abstract from a bad one? Have you ever wondered how to start or when your work is finished? Working with acrylics and mixed media in this class we will explore the types of abstract paintings and the constructs of what makes a good painting. We will learn how to start, what to do next and when to walk away. This adult class is open to beginning through advanced.
Wheel Throwing for Teens begins Monday, February 8th from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This class teaches the basics of wheel throwing, creating the basic cylinder and bowl forms, which are the basis for functional work, like vases, bowls and mugs. Beginners welcome, no experience necessary!
