Social Media for Artists

Start: 06/09/2012 - 1:00pm

End: 06/10/2012 - 4:00pm

Social Media For Artists: 2 day workshop
Sat, June 9 1-4pm & Sun, June 10 1-4pm

Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google +, Flickr, Constant Contact, blogs, content management websites, & Crowdfunding?!! Oh MY!

How is an artist to make sense of what is important, how to reach people and where to invest time? We just want to be in our studios making!
Prior knowledge needed- have reliable computer access, an email address and a comfort level with sending emails with attachments (anything else is gravy). Have Facebook or Twitter Already? Great! But if you don't, no stress! We will get you there! This workshop is hands on and will give space for specific questions and hands on help in the last hour of each day.

Be at a stage in your work where you are ready to market yourself as an artist! (Whether that means as an emerging or emerged artists looking to broaden their scope, or someone hoping to enter their first juried show!)

Why do I need social media?
Do you want to gain or expand opportunities to show your work?
When you have an exhibition, do you want more people to come?
Do you want to gain or expand opportunities to sell your work?
Do you want to gain access to organizations and people who might be able to further your reach?
Are you interested in possible funding opportunities?

If you answered yes to any ONE of these questions, then the answer is YES! You need to be using the most expansive, most cost effective way
