MONDAY

Wheel Working & Handbuilding
Ages: 8-12
Here is your opportunity to try working on the wheel! Each child will learn the basics and become familiar with the process of centering and pulling a cylinder. Different handbuilding methods will also be explored. All levels welcome!

TUESDAY

Art & Ecology
All Ages Welcome!
Art can be made from all sorts of things! In this fun new class, kids can choose from recycled materials here at the Art Center, like paper towel rolls, egg cartons, paper bags and much more, or bring things of their own to make all kinds of crazy creations! We’ll also make chalk, sculpting material and paint from things you can find around your own house.

SATURDAY

Just Kidding Around
Ages: 6-12
Improvisation is a great, fun way to learn to think on your feet! In this class, students will perform scenes, play hilarious games, and be able to create characters on the spot!

Clay for Kids
Ages: 7-9
Students will be encouraged to develop their creative skills
while learning the basics of working with clay, making various sculpture projects. Emphasis will be on imaginative use of traditional techniques. Some time will be set aside to allow children to try throwing on the wheel. Use and application of glazes will also be taught.

Introduction to Pottery
Ages: 9-12
Students will explore a variety of techniques in clay. They will learn to use the potter’s wheel and a variety of hand building techniques. Projects range from functional pottery to decorative art and sculpture.
